New Products in July from Sigma

I always get excited when companies release new products.  In July, Sigma adds 3 more products to their expanding line of products.

Recently on July 11, Sigma introduced 2 new brushes added to their Sigmax line, the F88 Flat Angled Kabuki and it's mini twin P88 Precision Flat Angled.  Both brushes are available for purchase individually or as part of the updated 10 brush Synthetic Essential Kit.  The brushes will also be included in the updated Synthetic Kabuki and Synthetic Precision Kits respectively.

F88 Flat Angled Kabuki (Price: US$16)

The F88 looks like the F80 Flat Top Kabuki with an angle similar to the F84 Angled Top Kabuki while the P88 is the miniature version of the F88.  When the F80 was introduced much earlier in the line by Sigma, it was an instant favorite by the online beauty community.  The angle of the new F88 helps with product application as it works well with the contours of the face.  The round base and large bristle tip area makes foundation application quick.  I'll have to try to product first hand to gauge ease of use and overall performance of the brush but for now, it sounds like a good concept.  The brush is intended for use with cream products.

P88 Precision Flat Angled (Price: US$14)

The P88 has a small, dense and flat angled head featuring again the exclusive Sigmax fibers that has been known to be extremely soft and smooth on skin.  This brush is intended for precise contouring and concealer application.  It is suppose to work particularly well around the eyes and nose area.

Beauty Expert Brow Design Kit (Price: US$69)

The Brow Design Kit is the first kit from Sigma's upcoming Beauty Expert collection to be released on July 23.  This kit includes a set of 15 products and tools to help achieve perfectly arched and groomed brows.  Items included in this kit are: Brow scissors, tweezers, stencils, highlighter/definer and shading pencils, pencil sharpener, 5 brow powders, brow tint and conditioner/set and a double ended angled brow brush and spoolie.

I think this is a beautiful kit for those who would like to invest in their brows.  I've had the opportunity to have the product used on me during my makeover with Tiffany D at IMATS using the brow powder and brush in this set and it turned out great!  The price point however can be a bit on the high side despite all the items it comes with.  That's a total of at least RM220 before shipping charges and my RM39.90 brow tint and conditioner/set gel works great for me.  My tweezers are from an Anastasia 3-pc US$10 set, a pair of baby scissors from Watsons/Guardian and face blades from Sasa which all costs well under that price + shipping.
